... and the holidays are over yet again. can't think of anything interesting to do till dinner so i'm flexing my fingers on this for the time being!
Last post refers to a traumatic end of the term, ironically, at possibly the only place in school that I hold close to my heart. Insults were hurled and scathing remarks made. Regretfully, by me. Still don't feel like talking about this, so i'll just leave it as that.
First two weeks of holidays spent doing almost nothing at all- well, not exactly nothing; I remember being very busy with something, but i just can't remember what. :D
Then came a (rather) eye-opening school trip to Europe. Nothing very astonishing, though the novelty of it quite excited me prior to the touchdown in Amsterdam. First time in Europe, but as a certain Ms. Lily pointed out, it seemed as if I'd (we'd) beent here before. Or maybe it was because it was summer there.. Yea that must be it. My favourite about Europe was the weather though, and of course, the shopping! Hahha.. An appalling comment, coming from me, since I've NEVER gone on a -what other people would call it- proper shopping trip on my own before. It's always with mum. Or dad. or both. Only other time was with a primary school friend with whom i was never very close. So there you have it- my first every shopping trip (independent of adult supervision), and in Europe too! It's amazing how affordable the clothes are over there, when (even though lots of it don't suit my taste anyway) the clothes available are so much more tasteful, and with style! Now, I just might by some little misunderstanding sound like some desperate fashionista, but the fact is that i'm extremely selective of what i wear, first because of price, second because of what the terror of my mum thinks, third and lastly because of what my dad and sis think. Odd combination, come to think of it, but it a relatively conservative family as mine, almost anything at all sparks off some lousy comment or another. That's what i feel, at any rate. Maybe it's just me; maybe it's not. So anyway, got some stuff over there that i've always wanted to get (didn't buy much cos was again afraid of disapproval), and at a really reasonable rate too! I feel obliged to say here, at this point (to the inevitable detriment of my own nation), that clothes available in the Red Dot are generally just tasteless, or too expensive. There- justice done. Also, just to state another ugly fact, people of the Red Dot have very little (actually none at all) style. What i mean by style here is a characteristic personal trait that distinguishes one from the others (does not necessary mean fashion sense, but sadly in most cases it invariably does). I also agree that Red Dot men are - ahem - a little behind in the aspect of desirability. Not being herny here! Only stating a truth. Then again, listing all the possible causes of such a plight of such an island may be likened to writing an entire thesis on the general social disability of my motherland- something not altogether advisable, i assume. The matter shall of course be left alone for further perusal at a later date.
oh man i sound like such a crow!
nevermind. who cares, this blog's meant for all the trivial things i'd like to crap about but would rather leave out of my diary. the internet, of course, isn't the best place to leave all certain thoughts. Then again, i deem those who pen absolutely everything down onto paper rather foolish- that's as good as giving the world (nah, more like your fellow house-members) solid evidence of almost all kinds of evictions imaginable! Must be stressful keeping a diary such as that. Any cutter at all will breach whatever lock that's possible to secure a diary close- unless of course it's bicycle chain or something. That then only calls for a BIGGER cutter. O.O moral of the story - whatever you don't want people to know about, quit playign hide and seek altogether and keep it in your head. There. Problem solved!
Yea so anyway to carry on from the Europe trip (hahha amazing that i managed to get so carried away!) We had four days or so in Paris, 3 hours in bypassing Brussels (Belgium, where Bartok has a statue!!!) and another four days in Amsterdam. Just in case i forget, details are in my travel journal (begun only for the purposes of documenting the trip) and photos both in my laptop and studyroom PC. Whooot sound so mugger. So boring. So Red-Dottish. Oh well.
So that was it, my first trip to Europe! One and a half days later was busking day1 with sis, Grace and YS at the Shaw underpass. Quite a mess. To think the organisers DARED ask us to play something solidly classical when we played Bach! HAH. Annoying people. Busking day2 in 2 days from now, and that'll be the end of the holidays.
Desperately need to study for CTs. I need to learnt o FOCUS! Hope Term3 will b much better for strings. Really hope so. Dinner's ready. Sis in bathroom but i'm hungry.. so sorry sis!
=) Till next time then! Looking forward to a new term.
